With all of the focus on recycling, we thought that 612 Vineyard should take a hard look at what we use and how we can be "greener".
This is what we have been doing:
Recycling all of our used wine bottles.
Recycling plastic bottles and cans.
Recycling our cardboard boxes.
Giving guests water in our (reuseable) glass bottles.
Offering hand sanitizer in our restrooms to save paper.
Using Square register which allows receipts to be emailed or texted to customers instead of printed.
So we are going to look for ways that we can reduce/reuse/recycle even more.
Next year we will look at our solar energy options and try to incorporate them into our business.
This year we want to offer recycling containers for our customers. As soon as the weather warms up, we will put out several containers to sort plastic, metal, and glass.
We will redo our lighting. As our bulbs burn out, we will replace them with energy-efficient fluorescent light bulbs
which, according to the EPA use 75% less electricity!
We will turn off. Unused equiptment will be turned off. Lighting will be turned off when our rooms are empty.
